In accordance with our
mission, the California Association for Employment in Education (CAEE)
recognizes an outstanding first-year teacher with a financial award for
their unique and creative contributions to the education profession.
CAEE awards $500.00
to one full-time teacher (single OR multiple subject teacher OR special
education) in
California. Each CAEE member school district may submit one
nomination for a first-year teacher in their district. The CAEE
Board will review all nominations and select the winner, with an award
presentation to be arranged.
Criteria for the award
includes: special accomplishments, unique and creative contributions,
highlights of instructional skills, interaction with students, parents and
peers, and innovative programs and projects which distinguished the nominee
from other first-year teachers.
